The library offers a wide variety of programs, information sessions and events throughout the year. Our aim is to provide programs that serve informational and leisure needs in Vermilion. Drop in Knit/Crochet - every Wednesday evening @ 5:30pm. Library basement. Winter session starts Jan 8/2020. Bring a project and get some help from local experts in an informal setting. Just starting out? Beginners Knit or Crochet dishcloth kits $5.
Vermilion Writers Guild - monthly meetings held on Thursdays @ 5:30pm. Library meeting room. Contact the Library for a list of dates. Come to a meeting and see if this group would be a good fit to help support you with your writing.
Free Preschool Programs
The Vermilion Public Library partners with community organizations for the following free preschool programs, typically running form September to June:
Rhyme and Read - Tuesday mornings @10:15am. Library basement. Winter session starts January 14th. This free program is for families with children ages 0-5 (parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to bring the children). Join us to practice English speaking and reading with songs and rhymes (rhyming will give your young children an excellent start to school), snack time, time to speak English with others and learning about Canadian culture! Kid's Connections - Wednesday mornings @ 10:30am. Library basement. Winter session starts January 8th. Join in on the fun! Playtime, games and activities for parents and caregivers, their infants, toddlers, and preschoolers! Crafts, stories, singing, games and more. Free! Open to all families.
