Description

Please feel free to join us for our first "Family History Information Day" and be exposed to a wealth of information and ideas to help guide you on your genealogy journey. Features include:

  • Project displays by our local genealogy 'experts' (they will also answer questions);
  • Words of wisdom from Vic Willoughby, President of the Alberta Genealogy Society, and Graziella Bennett from the Lloydminster Family History Centre;
  • Tips on using search engines by expert Craig Peterson;
  • Information on how the library can help you in your quest, how to use Ancestry.com, and how to organize your work using Microsoft Excel;
  • and much more!

There is no charge for this event, but please bring your own laptop and extension cord (if you wish) and lunch! We regret to say that we do not have wheelchair accessibility to our basement.
