Book a Library Tour!

Combine language arts, science and social studies in a lesson about our First Nations people. Join us between Tuesday, May 27th to Tuesday, June 10th to learn about colour in an aboriginal talking circle! Using the “Aboriginal Ways of Knowing: Colour Talking Circle” crate from Science Alberta, children will be encouraged to share their experiences on the significance of colour in our world. They will get a chance to design their own Métis sash and make a rainbow! Target audience: Grade one (or close).
A related story time can also be requested. I am also hoping to have some native artifacts on display, and a chance for the kids to sample some bannock!
