Another Successful Science Alberta Program
Over 150 children enjoyed our interactive program on magnetism and received a personalized tour of the library in the past two weeks. Thanks to the teachers, parent volunteers and Science Alberta for allowing the kids (and adults) the chance to experience "Pirates of the Lodestone" and learn first-hand what the library has to offer.

Thank You to the Lakeland College Interior Design Program
We wish to offer a sincere thanks to the second-year students of the interior design program over at Lakeland College who took on the project of designing us a new work area. Their attention to detail and overall effort was A+ in our opinion! We look forward to incorporating many of their ideas into a more functional and aestetically pleasing work space. Please take a look at their design boards, either in person at the library or by browsing the pictures below.

It's called Overdrive, and is essentially a digital library where patrons can download eBooks (digital books, magazines or graphic novels), WMA or MP3 audiobooks (recorded readings of a book), videos or music onto their Mac or PC. From there, they can be transferred onto portable devices such as the Apple® iPod or the Sony® Reader. There are also features to aid those with visual impairments.
