News for Teens
Grip Magazine is published for Alberta Health Services and features articles by teens, for teens. Copies are free, and are available at the back of the library in the Young Adult section. The magazine is published four times a year, and hot off the press for Summer 2009 is the "R & R Issue".

A Life Enriched
One of our patrons recently wrote us a "Library Story" which, her permission granted, I would like to share with you: One of the best things I ever did for myself was buy a library card. Author Visit June 10th
Bring your lunch for a presentation on some fascinating local history. Robert Hendriks, author of William Bleasdell Cameron: A Life of Writing and Adventure, will be here to enlighten us on the life of this survivor of the Frog Lake Massacre.We have 10 copies of this book left and they will be for sale for $5 each. Discover the Grasslands
Children and adults alike will enjoy taking part in this interactive program from Science Alberta. Do a giant puzzle of some native plants and learn the effects of drought, or investigate, using real skulls from prairie mammels, the differences in teeth between a carnivore, omnivore and herbivore. We have five stations set up from which you can play and learn. Interested parties can ask at the desk to go down to our basement and check out this cool exhibit!
