Library Press Display Workshop
Join us on February 12th and learn how to read current issues of your favorite newspaper for free on your smartphone, tablet or computer through Press Display. Press Display is a newspaper database available at Vermilion Public Library that offers thousands of different newspapers in their original format, such as Edmonton Journal, Edmonton Sun, Calgary Herald and National Post. Bring your iPad, tablet or laptop to this informative session to get access to newspapers for free. No fee.
Internet Applications Course
This is a five week course including Kijiji, Facebook, Photoshop Express and backing up your computer. Tuesdays 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Starting Feb 11 to March 11. Please pre-register; space is limited. Cost $50.
Knitting for Beginners
This course is intended for those just starting out in knitting, and will include casting on procedures and simple stitches. A starter kit will include the needles and wool required for a simple project. Ages 10 and up. The course will run for 4 Thursdays starting February 6th, and the time will be 4:00 to 5:00pm or 7:00 to 8:00pm depending on interest. Pre-registration is required, $12 is due upon registration. Space is limited.
We are collecting store bought or handmade mitts, scarves and hats to decorate our mitten tree. All items will then be donated to Santa Anonymous who will distribute them to children in need. Pickup date is December 18th. Thank you for your contributions.
