TRAC (The Regional Automation Consortium) provides the automated catalogue for all libraries in Northern Lights and three other regional library systems. The consortium is changing to Polaris - a library automation system with a user friendly Windows interface similar to your computer at home or work. J.R. Robson Subscription Drive a Success

Thank you to all who took part in the J.R. Magazine Subscription Drive through the library! This partnership brought credit to 13 students, and resulted in 39 subscriptions to the library worth about $1, 090, $596 worth of donations to the library, and approximately $430 to J.R. Robson. A good reason to browse our magazine racks in the next few months.

Vermilion Memories

The Vermilion Heritage Museum has requested that we let people know they still have about 16 copies of Vermilion Memories for sale at $75. This two-volume book is a popular resource for anyone interested in local history. For those who just need it briefly, it is also available in our reference section.

We are about to shelve a new selection of nonfiction DVDs produced and/or released by the National Film Board of Canada (All of these include Public Performance Rights, which means that the video may be legally shown in a classroom or group setting for non-commercial purposes) See our Home page for titles.
