Tea Basics

Don’t miss this delicious program, a tea tasting hosted by a tea expert from David’s Tea. Discussion to include steeping methods, different types of tea, and tea history. Register by phone or in person to qualify for a great tea door prize.

Upcoming Book Sale
We will be accepting donations until the day before the sale. Your donation of non-fiction, paperback and fiction titles in genlty used condition would be greatly appreciated. Encyclopedias and Reader's Digest books will not be accepted.
Community Display
This month we have a display from the Vermilion Communities in Bloom. All community and service clubs are invited to contact us if they are interested in creating a display, as we have 2012 spots open. If you displayed last year and would like to do so again please contact us so we can choose a month that suits your timetable.

Seasonal hours
The library will be closed on December 24th and 25th for Christmas, and December 31st and January 1st for New Years. Enjoy your holidays! -
Movie: Muppet Treasure Island
We will have a showing of Muppet Treasure Island On Thursday Nov. 18 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. The cost will be $2 per child or $5 per family, and a snack will be provided. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. -
Library Closed
The Library will be closed November 11th for Remembrance Day. -
Fall Book Sale
The Library will be holding a book sale from October 26th to 30th, so come and support the library while adding to your own collections. We have a good variety of books, DVDs and magazines, at very reasonable prices! All books are $1, and DVDs are only $2. -
Donations Help Increase DVD Collection
Vermilion RCMP recently donated close to 200 DVD's to the Library, and the Crisis Line donated funds to purchase 20 DVD's for teens and young adults. We greatly appreciate their generosity. Check out our list of new arrivals over the coming days. -
Dates Library Closed
The Library will be closed Friday, September 17 for our annual conference and on Saturday, October 9 for the Thanksgiving weekend -

Dollar Days at Vermilion Public Library
The donations have been piling up and we’ve run out of room! Come and browse our tables for your next summer read or movie where all items cost 1$. -
Another Successful Science Alberta Program
Over 150 children enjoyed our interactive program on magnetism and received a personalized tour of the library in the past two weeks. Thanks to the teachers, parent volunteers and Science Alberta for allowing the kids (and adults) the chance to experience "Pirates of the Lodestone" and learn first-hand what the library has to offer. -
